Food drive advertisement

Mountaineer Middle School's Student Council is sponsoring a food drive for those in need this holiday season. The student council chose to donate to the Healthy Harvest Program through the United Way. Our donations will be used to fill boxes for seniors locally at the beginning of December. The items that are needed the most are:

  • Pull tab canned goods

  • Low sodium foods

  • Shelf stable items

  • Hygiene products

  • Cleaning products

The drive began November 1st and concludes on Novemeber 22nd. Each homeroom is competing to see which room can make the largest donation. Students donate by bringing their items and leaving them in the donation box in their homeroom. Donations will be collected weekly by student council members and counted to provide a weekly tally of which rooms are in the lead of most items donated.

Parents, Caregivers, and others with students at MMS are encouraged to help our students support seniors in need through this food drive. Thank you for your support.
