Student Support Services
Mountaineer Middle has two, full-time counselors: Ms. _and Mr. Ziems who are happy to work with students. Students, teachers, and parents may complete this referral form to speak with our counselors. Please keep in mind that this referral form is not for emergencies.
Those in need of immediate assistance at school should speak to a teacher, ask to see a counselor, and/or contact a trusted adult. In case of an emergency outside of school, students should try one or more of the following suggestions: speak with an adult, dial 9-1-1, or call/text a 24-hour crisis line. Here are specific sites and numbers to contact for emergency help:
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline - suicidepreventionlifeline.org (1-800-273-8255)
Crisis Text Line - text HELP to 741741
Student & Family Support Services
We also have an Outreach Facilitator that works with students and families at Mountaineer and Suncrest Middle Schools. The purpose of this role is to serve as a bridge between students, families, the school, and community resources.
The Outreach Facilitator is available to assist with the basic needs of students and their families that might interfer with students' academic success. The outreach facilitator may be able to help with financial and housing needs as well as mental and physical health issues. She is trained in assisting in crisis situations and helping families with the IEP, SAT, and 504 processes and attendance concerns.
Brittany Lisle is our new Outreach Facilitator. Click here to read more about Mrs. Lisle, her schedule and contact information.
